One of our first stops after landing in Hawaii since they were open pretty late. The place was also recommended to me by a friend who lives in the area. Portion sizes were great and the food was delicious! I really wanted to try the sashimi platter, but it was way too much for the two of us haha.
Amazing customer service and DELICIOUS food truly life changing best kalbi and sashimi i’ve had possibly ever. Delicious chicken wings! Best kimchi fried rice. Thank you for an unforgettable dinner!
We went for happy hour. $10 pitchers! Meat jun and fried mandu were good but nothing to write home about. The poke, however, was out of this world good. We got the mamas special. the little bit of rock salt goes a long way to make it extra delicious. Its a tiny place and we were happy to sit at a table that was reserved an hour+ later.
What a pleasant surprise: hole-in-the-wall-ish but great food - my kind of place! We got a plate of super-fresh thick-cut sashimi, chicken gizzards, seafood pancake (crispiest one I've ever had), grilled fish collar, sizzling beef ribs. All were delicious! To boot, service was friendly and fast.
I typically start my dining research with Eater.com and like usual they are right. This unassuming Korean seafood place blew my $&?!’ing mind ????????????. We murdered a couple of lbs of poke with along with a grilled hamachi collar with banchan that of course included macaroni salad cuz Hawaii.
Walked past here so many times. Well, I went in and it had such a good warm mom and pop feel, just loved the whole vibe. The server was so sweet and attentive, even as it got busy. Mom easily came out to help. The Sashimi was very fresh and melted in my mouth. Meat-jun was some of the best I've had. Got to go back to try more. Serving sizes were so large. It gets busy here and may have to wait, but worth it. Parking is limited on the street or down in the neighborhood. Oh, got to try the Strawberry Soju too, blended up fresh and not weak.????????
Awesome team there. They are very friendly. The sashimi was fresh and melt in your mouth. I had the Meat Jun that was so tender. I will go back many times.
This place was great, so good we went twice during our Honolulu stay. We had meat jun both times, Sashimi was also great.
Don't walk, run to this awesome Korean hole-in-the-wall. I recommend calling in advance and asking if they can seat you at a specific time. Once you sit down, order the sashimi, a strawberry soju slushy, and a meat jun. You're welcome.
The poke and sashimi were fantastic. We had the basic poke and mama's mix which just melts in the mouth. If you're looking for fresh tuna, this is well-worth the trip. It's recommended to make reservations.
